Around 1PM today, there was a huge amount of rain. It truly came sideways from the north. It was rather scary, especially when trees started coming down.
Notice, the first tree on the right is broken around 10 feet up. The next tree beyond that on the right is half there. There should be only pine trees to D's left. A big scrub tree was uprooted, and that's what you see in front to the pines as well as a large branch from a maple. A lovely deep purple lilac is also uprooted.
A tree is lying on the back roof, held up by the roof and another tree.
Trees came down on three sides of the barn - but, amazingly, the barn still stands!
So far, the cars and buildings and we are fine!
Power was restored around 7PM.

Makes my little tree branch falling look puny! Glad to see all is basically well, though!
We had a torential downpour last night, but the wind was not bad and we didn't lose any more trees. The mud lilies in the retention pond are now back to being water lilies.
