Echinocystis lobata (Wild Cucumber)
There was a vine growing way up in the pine tree in the front yard. (This picture was taken in August.)It's been a warm autumn, but we are expecting our first frost of the season tonight (October 16, 2017).
We harvested the last of the tomatoes and basil and moved the drying garlic indoors to prevent freezing.
This is some of the wild cucumber vine.
This vine has fully dried seed pods as well as green ones.
There are four chambers for seeds.
The seeds look like black pumpkin seeds, but they have a texture.
Most of the seeds have fallen out, but I was able to find these three.
